Security and data isolation

LaneGain is a multi-tenant platform, and isolation between organisations is enforced at the database layer, not just in the application interface. Every row of tenant data is bound to its organisation, and access rules are enforced by the database itself on every query — a defence that holds even if a client-side bug were to ask for the wrong data.

Practically, this means:

• Your rates, clients, calculations and offers are visible only to members of your organisation.
• Your clients (freight buyers) are external parties: they are never members of your organisation and only ever see offers addressed to them.
• Platform staff access is a separate, explicitly controlled tier.

Reference data that is genuinely global — countries, exchange rates, public fuel prices — is shared read-only across all organisations. Everything commercial is yours alone.
